The Origin

It started with a simple experiment. A technology executive in Dubai was building an AI assistant — not a chatbot, but something more. Something with memory, personality, opinions, and the ability to actually do things. He called it Buddy.

Buddy wasn't designed to answer trivia questions. Buddy was designed to be a colleague. Someone who could read emails, manage schedules, post on LinkedIn, monitor servers, write code, and proactively flag issues before they became problems. A real digital worker — not a fancy search engine with a chat interface.

The Breakthrough

After months of iteration, Buddy became genuinely useful. Not "demo useful" — actually useful. Running on a persistent system with autonomous heartbeat execution, Buddy would check in throughout the day, process tasks independently, and surface only what mattered. It was like having a reliable team member who never slept, never forgot, and never needed hand-holding.

That's when the question hit: If one AI employee can transform one person's productivity, what could a whole team of them do?
